A ViTAC × Project Overwatch Initiative

Every officer carries a sidearm.
Not every officer carries a tourniquet.

The IFAK Initiative funds duty-belt trauma kits for active law enforcement officers — at cost, with no markup, distributed transparently through a 501(c)(3) partner. Officers join a free waitlist. Donors and sponsors fund the kits, one officer at a time.

The Stakes

Officers face battlefield-grade trauma. Most don't carry battlefield-grade gear.

Hemorrhage is the #1 preventable cause of trauma death. The treatment is a $50 piece of gear that fits on a duty belt. The data is unambiguous — and the equipment gap is real.

76%
of officers feloniously killed in 2024 were killed by firearms

The bleed-out window is three to five minutes.

EMS response times in most American jurisdictions are 7 to 10 minutes — and longer in rural counties. A femoral artery wound can drain a body in under 300 seconds. The officer on scene is the first responder, every time. The question isn't whether they have the training. It's whether they have the gear.

What You're Funding

The ViTAC Duty-Belt IFAK. Built for one purpose.

A custom kit assembled by ViTAC for this initiative. Duty-belt sized, MARCH-aligned, no fluff. Every component is the same brand and standard our paying customers receive — because we don't believe officers should get the cheaper version.

Kit Contents
  • Windlass tourniquet Industry-standard arterial bleeding control
  • Hemostatic gauze For wound packing — the second line of bleeding control
  • Vented chest seals For penetrating chest trauma
  • Emergency trauma dressing One-handed pressure bandage
  • Nitrile gloves Standard exam-grade pair
$50
At-cost. No markup. No margin. Every dollar from a $50 donation funds one full kit. ViTAC absorbs assembly, packaging, and shipping.
For Active Law Enforcement Officers

Join the waitlist. First come, first served.

One submission per officer. We use your work email to verify active duty — no documents, no agency forms, no department-level approvals required. Just you, doing the job. We notify the next officers in line at the start of every month.

Why we require a work (department) email: It is the simplest way for us to verify active duty without paperwork. Personal addresses (Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook, iCloud, etc.) cannot be accepted. One email = one submission. Bulk department submissions are not accepted — each officer must enter individually.

Why Project Overwatch

Transparency isn't a buzzword. It's a 501(c)(3).

ViTAC partnered with Project Overwatch — a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving veterans, law enforcement, and firefighters — so this initiative isn't us writing checks to ourselves. Donations go through them. Tax receipts come from them. The audit trail belongs to them.

  • All donations processed by Project Overwatch (501(c)(3))
  • Donations earmarked specifically for the IFAK Initiative
  • $50 = one full kit, distributed at-cost. No ViTAC margin.
  • Quarterly impact reports — kits distributed, agencies served, officers equipped
  • Distribution records available on request to any donor

About the Kit

Why do you require a department email?

It's the simplest way to verify active duty without paperwork. Asking for badge numbers or department forms creates friction; a working agency email proves the same thing in one click.

What if my department doesn't issue email addresses?

Reach out to info@vitacsolutions.com and we'll work with you. The rule exists to prevent fraud, not to exclude legitimate officers.

Can I sign up multiple officers at once?

No. One email = one submission. Each officer must enter individually. This keeps the waitlist fair and verifiable.

How long is the wait?

It depends on funding. We notify the next officers in line at the start of every month. The waitlist counter at the top of this page reflects the current backlog.

Is my donation tax-deductible?

Yes — donations are processed through Project Overwatch, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. They issue your tax receipt directly.

How do I know my donation actually funds kits?

Project Overwatch handles the money. ViTAC handles assembly and shipping at-cost. We publish quarterly impact reports — kits distributed, agencies served, dollars in vs. kits out. Donors can request the full distribution record at any time.

Why $50 per kit?

That's our actual at-cost build price for the duty-belt configuration: tourniquet, hemostatic gauze, chest seals, ETD, gloves. Retail comparable is roughly twice that. ViTAC takes no margin on initiative kits.

What's in the kit?

A windlass tourniquet, hemostatic gauze, vented chest seals, an emergency trauma dressing, and nitrile gloves. Duty-belt sized, MARCH-aligned. See "What You're Funding" above for the full breakdown.

One Officer at a Time

Help is minutes away. The officer on scene is now.

Every $50 puts a tourniquet on a duty belt. Every officer who joins the waitlist is one more line of defense. Pick your side of this — both move the needle.
