What Are Bleed Control Packs & Refills?
Bleed control packs are focused, pre-bundled component sets that cover the bleeding control essentials — the supplies that handle the most likely cause of preventable trauma death. They're available as standalone packs (build a custom kit around them) or as refills (resupply existing trauma kits).
Most packs include some combination of: a windlass tourniquet, hemostatic gauze, a pressure dressing, gloves, and trauma shears. Premium packs add chest seals.

How to Choose
1. Match Pack to Existing Kit
If you're refilling a NAR® IFAK, the SIRK™ lines align with NAR component standards. For other kits, verify component compatibility before ordering.
2. Match Skill Level
Basic packs cover Stop the Bleed®-level supplies (tourniquet + pressure dressing). Intermediate adds hemostatic gauze. Premium adds chest seals — best paired with TCCC-level training.
3. Plan Rotation
Bleed control supplies have 3–5 year shelf lives. Set an annual inspection and rotate before expiration.
4. Standardize Across Kits
If you have multiple kits (vehicle, home, EDC), standardize on one tourniquet brand and consistent component types. Standardization simplifies training and reduces confusion under stress.
