      Frequently Asked Questions

How is this different from a basic first aid kit?

It's a dedicated Stop the Bleed kit built around a C-A-T® tourniquet and QuikClot® hemostatic dressing — for major bleeding, not scrapes.

What's inside, and are the components authentic?

Yes — every trauma kit includes the same medical-grade supplies trusted by first responders, law enforcement, and military medics. From CAT® tourniquets to hemostatic gauze and HyFin® chest seals, our gear isn’t imitation-grade — it’s built for real emergencies, where performance matters most.A genuine C-A-T® tourniquet, QuikClot® dressing, and NAR bleeding control components in a vacuum-sealed pouch with illustrated instructions.

Do I need training, and is it HSA/FSA eligible?

Stop the Bleed training is strongly recommended; illustrated instructions guide first-time responders. This kit is HSA/FSA eligible; use your benefit card at checkout or submit your receipt per your plan's rules.

Do I need training to use trauma components (tourniquet, chest seal, hemostatics)?

      Yes—skills plus gear save time in times of crisis. We recommend Stop the Bleed/bleeding-control and basic first aid;

While basic trauma kits can be used effectively with minimal training, it’s highly recommended to complete a bleeding control and first aid course.

Why should I invest in a trauma kit instead of building my own?

Building your own kit is possible, but it’s often more expensive and time-consuming. Our trauma kits are curated by experts and built from experience, using components from industry-leading suppliers or built by U.S. based, trusted brands.

Each kit includes tested, field-proven gear, already organized for real-world use. You save time, eliminate guesswork, and gain peace of mind knowing your kit is mission-ready from day one.

How quickly can my trauma kit ship, and what’s the return policy?

We typically process each order within 1–2 business days, and all kits are backed by our quality guarantee. If your kit arrives damaged or incomplete, we’ll replace it immediately. We stand behind every product we sell because we know when it counts, your gear needs to perform flawlessly.

Can I customize a kit for my department or unit (bulk, POs, tax-exempt)?

Absolutely. We can adjust contents, packaging, and quantities; we support quotes/POs and department procurement. Use the RFQ link for fast scoping aligned to your SOPs and training, or click here.

Stop the Bleed. Be Ready to Act.

The NAR® Bleeding Control Kit — STB puts professional-grade bleeding control within arm’s reach—so an everyday bystander can take action in the minutes that matter most, before EMS arrives. Severe bleeding can become life-threatening fast. This compact kit is built to help close that gap with the same C-A-T® tourniquet and QuikClot® hemostatic dressing technology trusted by the U.S. military and recommended by the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma.

What It Is (and What It Isn’t)

This is a focused bleeding control kit—not a boo-boo kit. It’s purpose-built for major hemorrhage: tourniquet application, wound packing with hemostatic gauze, and direct pressure with a trauma dressing. It is not a general first aid kit for cuts, scrapes, headaches, or stomach issues. If you want trauma capability that’s ready when an accident, workplace incident, or roadside emergency happens, this is it.

Why It Belongs Wherever You Are

Most preventable trauma deaths come from uncontrolled bleeding, and they can happen anywhere—on the road, at work, on the job site, or in public. The STB kit is sealed in a ruggedized, vacuum-packed pouch that stows easily in a glovebox, desk drawer, range bag, or backpack and stays protected until the moment you need it. Illustrated “Just in Time” instructions give a clear visual reference under stress.

      What You Get

      • Bleeding control: 1× C-A-T® tourniquet (orange), 1× QuikClot® hemostatic bleeding control dressing, 1× 4 in. Flat Responder ETD (Emergency Trauma Dressing)
      • Tools & PPE: 1× Responder trauma shears (large), 2× pairs of Responder nitrile gloves (large), 1× small permanent marker
      • Reference & packaging: 1× illustrated “Just in Time” instruction card, 1× ruggedized vacuum-sealed pouch

How to Put It to Work

      1. Stage it: Keep the kit where bleeding emergencies are most likely—vehicle, workplace, range bag, or home.
      2. Know it: Review the included instructions and consider a Stop the Bleed® or hands-on hemorrhage-control course.
      3. Act: Call 911, apply the tourniquet or pack and pressure the wound per your training, and stay with the injured person until help arrives.

      Common Questions

      • “Is it the real thing?” Yes—genuine C-A-T® and QuikClot® components from North American Rescue, not off-brand substitutes.
      • “I’m not trained.” The kit includes illustrated instructions, and we encourage Stop the Bleed®-style training. Skills make the gear work.
      • “Will it fit where I need it?” The vacuum-sealed pouch is compact—roughly 7 × 5 × 2.5 in and about 8 oz—so it travels almost anywhere.

      Who It’s For

Prepared families, commuters, teachers, coaches, range members, off-duty professionals, and CERT/SRO and community responders—anyone who wants to be ready to help in the first minutes of a bleeding emergency.

      Frequently Asked Questions
