NAR Individual Bleeding Control Kit — Public-Access IFAK
The NAR Individual Bleeding Control Kit is a purpose-built bleeding control system designed to put proven, easy-to-use trauma tools in the hands of everyday responders. Engineered by North American Rescue — the company behind the military’s standard-issue C-A-T® tourniquet — this kit is built for one job: stopping life-threatening bleeding before EMS arrives.
What It Is / What It Isn’t
This is a bleeding control kit, not a general first aid kit. It won’t treat headaches, blisters, or minor cuts. It will give you the tools to manage a traumatic hemorrhage — the kind caused by a car accident, a power tool injury, or a public mass casualty event.
Why the NAR IBCK
North American Rescue developed this kit specifically for public access — meaning it’s designed for people without formal medical training. The just-in-time pictorial instruction card walks any bystander through the critical steps of limb tourniquet application, wound packing, and pressure dressing placement. Every component is authentic: the C-A-T® tourniquet is the same tourniquet issued to U.S. military personnel.
The compact red nylon bag fits anywhere: a glove box, a desk drawer, a range bag, or a wall-mounted bracket at a workplace or school.
