If You Only Remember This…

  • This collection shows every kit in our catalog that includes chest seals — occlusive dressings used to close penetrating chest wounds and prevent tension pneumothorax
  • If you're shopping by capability rather than category, this filter narrows the catalog to kits ready to handle penetrating thoracic trauma out of the box
  • Most kits use vented chest seals (HyFin® or equivalent) in twin-pack format — because penetrating wounds typically have entry and exit points

Why Filter by Chest Seal Capability?

If your environment includes any risk of penetrating chest trauma — ballistic threats, vehicle accidents, industrial penetrating injuries, or tactical operations — chest seal capability is a non-negotiable feature in your trauma kit. Rather than buying a kit and discovering it lacks chest seals, this collection lets you start with the capability and pick the format that matches your environment.

What You'll Find Here

  • Tactical and patrol IFAKs with vented chest seals built in
  • Trauma backpacks and team kits with multiple chest seal sets
  • General-purpose first aid kits that include chest seals as part of their full-trauma loadout
  • Standalone chest seal twin packs for refilling kits or building custom loadouts

How to Choose

1. Match Format to Carry Method
Compact IFAKs, vehicle kits, EDC trauma kits, backpack systems — all available with chest seal capability built in.

2. Verify Twin Pack vs. Single
Quality kits include twin-pack chest seals for entry/exit wound coverage. Single-seal kits leave you short.

3. Check Total Trauma Capability
Kits with chest seals typically also include tourniquets, hemostatic gauze, and pressure dressings — the full bleeding control + respiration loadout. Confirm the rest of the kit matches your needs.

4. Train Before You Carry
Chest seal application is taught in Stop the Bleed® and TCCC courses. Don't carry tools you can't deploy correctly.

Ready to Browse?

Below are all kits in our catalog with chest seal capability. Filter further by environment (vehicle, EDC, tactical) or use case to narrow the selection.

Training is strongly recommended. Stop the Bleed® or equivalent instruction supports proper use.
